You may recognize this week’s Pet of the Month.  Dinah, from Best Friends Rescue in Atlanta,  joined me last Friday on The Weather Channel to talk about Winter Pet Safety Tips. Dinah was the perfect TV dog! She didn’t mind being dressed up, and wasn’t afraid of the cameras or meeting new people.  In fact she seemed to love being held and all the attention! Best Friends Rescue of Atlanta reports that “she was found as a stray and unfortunately never claimed by her owner. She is 3 yrs and while she’s shy and quiet at the Best Friends Adoption Center, she’s friendly with her four kennel mates. She seems to prefer lounging on her bed more than playing with her kennel mates. But outside of the center….she really comes out of her shell (as we saw at the studio). She walks confidently on a leash, loves to do a belly crawl across the floor and enjoys playing with human friends. She rides perfectly in a car and enjoys watching her surroundings outside the window. Her  favorite thing to do is snuggle by her human’s side or in their arms where she feels safe, secure and loved. ”
